Christmas THINK! Drink and drive Campaign
2015’s Christmas THINK! Don’t drink and drive campaign is under way. This years Christmas campaign is specifically targeting those who think it’s alright to only have a couple of drinks and still drive.
Research conducted by THINK! Showed that 1 in 10 people would consider driving after having two drinks or more. This number increased to 1 in 5 among men aged 18 to 34.
The campaign will show various scenarios where someone might consider getting behind the wheel after having two drinks and the deadly consequences that can occur. The campaign will also point out that a second drink can double the chances of having a fatal collision.
In 2013 alone there were still 240 deaths due to drink driving – accounting for 14% of all road fatalities. With these numbers spiking around the festive period. By drinking and driving you risk your life, those of your passengers and others on the road.
