Car and Van Insurance with a TS30

What’s a TS30 motor conviction?

A TS30 motor endorsement means ‘failing to comply with ‘stop’ sign’. It carries three penalty points and stays on your licence for four years. The TS30 is part of the Traffic and Signs offences and includes other convictions such as TS10, TS20, TS40, TS50, TS60 and TS70.

Until the conviction has been spent under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, your insurer must know about the TS30. If the conviction is not disclosed to the insurer this can run the risk of the insurance being cancelled and also of the insurer not returning any premium you’ve paid. If a claim has been made, this can also be rejected on the grounds of non-disclosure. Insurers always find out about claims and convictions these days due a database they suscribe to called the Claims and Underwriting Exchange (CUE).
