Car and Van Insurance With a DR50

What is a DR50 motor endorsement and finding cheap car insurance?

A DR50 means ‘in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drink’. It stays on your licence for a period of four years and comes with 10 penalty points. The DR50 motor conviction will need to be disclosed to your insurer until it is spent under the rules of the Rehabiliation of Offenders Act. If you fail to disclose the DR50 you could find your insurer cancels your insurance, refuses to pay claims and keeps any money you’ve paid.

It can be a dilemma though since insurance can be unaffordable by many following a serious motor conviction such as drink driving. Don’t worry though, here at Convicted Car we specialise in finding the cheapest insurance for drink  drivers so we’ll definitely be able to find you a competitive insurance premium that will hopefully surprise you!

Drink and drugs convictions

Here at Convicted we not only find great value insurance for a DR50 conviction, but we can also help with the following drink and drugs endorsements: DR10, DR20, DR30, DR31, DR61, DR40, DR60, DR70, DR80 and DR90. In addition contact us about dangerous, reckless and uninsured driving offences. Most well known insurance companies, and comparison sites, we not offer insurance for many of these convictions, those that do will charge you a massively inflated amount for the increased risk they believe you to pose.

We believe drivers can learn from their mistakes and it shouldn’t be assumed that a previous conviction means the same will happen again. Sometimes in life our biggest mistakes reduce the chance of something happening again rather than increasing it! That’s our approach at Convicted, we believe drivers can become reformed and deserve competitive insurance prices.
