Car and Van Insurance with a CD10

What is a CD10 motor conviction?

A CD10 conviction means ‘driving without due care and attention’. It carries three to nine penalty points and stays on your licence for four years. During this period your insurer needs to know about it otherwise you run the risk of your insurance being cancelled and possibly claims rejected. A CD10 falls under the ‘careless driving offences’ and also includes CD20, CD430, CD40, CD50, CD60, CD70, CD80 and CD90. Careless driving insurance offences can be very difficult to find insurance for. Read our guide below and learn more about finding cheap CD10 car, bike and van insurance.

Cheap convicted car insurance for a CD10

The majority of insurers are quick to label convicted drivers as high risk and uninsurable. If you do get a quote it’s likely to be a rip off and way above the realistic risk you pose. The fact is by making a mistake in the past, can mean you’re more likely to learn from it than to do it again. But almost unanimously insurers feel it’s the latter and they need to punish you with punitive premiums.

We think different at Convicted. You can learn from your mistakes, and deserve a second chance with fair priced insurance costs. That’s why, regardless of your situation, we can find excellent deals on your CD10 car insurance, but also for other ‘serious convictions’ such as drink driving, dangerous driving, uninsured driving and bans/disqualifications.
