What’s an MS50 motor endorsement?

An MS50 conviction means ‘motor racing on the highway’. It’s the most serious of the Miscellaneous offences carrying 3 to 11 penalty points and stays on the licence for four years. During this time the motor conivction must be disclosed to your insurer. Non disclosure of the MS50 can lead to the insurance being cancelled or being charged a hefty additional insurance premium.

Drivers must be wary of existing penalty points, since the MS50 could lead to a ban if the threshold is exceeded – this is known as a TT99 motor conviction which can be a disqualification of typically a year or 6 months.
